Murchison Falls National Park is Uganda’s largest national park. The park is split by the Victoria Nile River from east to west. The falls are where the Nile explodes through a narrow gorge and cascades down to become a placid river whose banks are thronged with hippos, crocodiles, waterbucks, and buffaloes. The vegetation is characterized as savannah, riverine forest and woodland. The park's wildlife includes lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, hartebeests, oribis, Uganda kobs, chimpanzees, and many bird species.

Tour Plan
On the first day, you will depart for the most beautiful protected area in Uganda, Murchison Falls National Park, making a stopover at Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking. This is a guided nature walk to experience the life of the rhinos in the wild. You will have lunch and then enjoy the top of the Falls after which you will transfer to a lodge in Murchison Falls.
In the morning, you will set off for a game drive in Murchison Falls National Park. On the broad savannah, you will search for big cats, elephants, giraffes, buffalos, and more as the checklist of mammals reaches 76. You will continue browsing the circuits to the delta point for a cocktail of birds and mammals. In the afternoon you will go for a boat ride on the Nile to the base of Murchison Falls where you will most likely see hippos, Nile crocodiles, elephants and a variety of beautiful bird species along the banks. If you are a keen birder this might be your opportunity to catch them. The boat cruise takes about 3 hours and later returns to your lodge.
After breakfast, enjoy your last game drive while exiting the park. Enjoy the nature as you compare the landscapes, vegetation and temperatures of the north and the south. Your last destination will be Kampala.
